CARBON DIOXIDE (CO2) INSTRUMENTS

Fluidic offer the Vaisala range of carbon dioxide transmitters which include wall mount, duct mount, portable and OEM equipment.  As with all Vaisala instrumentation, all units come complete with calibration certification which is traceable to national standards.  Common applications for carbon dioxide detection include:

• Carbon dioxide refrigeration

• Mushroom farms

• Greenhouses

• Breweries and soft drink production

• Public, commercial and residential buildings

• Ice rinks

Where appropriate units are available complete with switch outputs, local display, data logging (and graph display), IP65 housing and interchangeable probes for ease in maintenance and calibration conditions.  Measurement ranges available start as low as 0...2000ppm (parts per million) and up to 20% CO2.

Carbon dioxide gas is colourless, odourless and hence difficult to detect without suitable instrumentation.  Typically atmospheric co2 is 300-400ppm* and tolerable at up to 1500-2000ppm*.  Levels of 3%*+ often lead to serious health risks including increased heart rate, nausea and unconsciousness.  For these reasons co2 detection is recommended in any occupied environment.
