  • BYPASS LEVEL MEASUREMENT

    BYPASS LEVEL GAUGES, SWITCHES AND TRANSMITTERS

    Fluidic hold a long established distributorship with KSR Kuebler, and are able to offer their range of bypass level gauges and transmitters. Particularly popular in the offshore market, these 316 stainless steel units come with options for EExd and EExia ATEX certification.

    Within the stainless chamber a float carries the magnetic to activate a local roller display, clamp on switches and/or a local transmitter module. In addition, redundancy options are offered with a radar level transmitter fitted in a separate chamber. Again, this option carries ATEX approval where requested.

    The instrument is fully customisable for your process. Connections can be threaded boss or flanged to suit (ANSI or BS4504/EN19025 all 316ss as standard) along with customisable measurement length and vent/drain connections as required.

    For acidic applications (phosphate, caustics etc) we also offer polypropylene and PVC designs.

  • FLOAT SWITCHES & TRANSMITTERS

    FLOAT SWITCHES AND FLOAT TRANSMITTERS

    Through our principal, KSR Kuebler, Fluidic offer float switches and float transmitters to cover most common level measurement applications.  Safe area and ATEX designs are available for low and high densities, pressures and temperatures and a variety of materials are available.  Angular designs offer side entry switching and transmitters.  A benefit of the angular design is that this allows some offset in the switch position in relation to entry point.  Again, most process connections are available, although on the angular design; flanged connection is standard to ensure the correct mounting orientation.

  • SUSPENDED FLOAT SWITCHES

    SUSPENDED FLOAT SWITCHES

    Through our principal, KSR Kuebler, Fluidic offer suspended float switches.  This simple, low cost switching technology is ideally suited to dirty process such as for sewage and slurry processes.  There are no moving parts to block, and floats and cabling are available in a multitude of plastics to suit.  In addition long cable lengths are available.

  • PRESSURE GAUGES

    PRESSURE (& DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE) GAUGES

    As agents for Dwyer Instruments, Fluidic offer a multitude of pressure gauges and differential pressure gauges, such as the popular Magnehelic™ pressure gauge. The Magnehelic is aimed at low differential pressure measurement in air and gases. Typical applications include the monitoring of clean room integrity and HEPA filter blockage.

    Fluidic provide a wide range of pressure gauges, such as vacuum gauges, compound pressure gauges and gauges for absolute pressure measurement. As well as Dwyer, we have access to products from Stewart Buchanan Gauges and Ametek US Gauge Company. Ametek specialise in high purity pressure gauges for the semi-conductor industry, and we hold some ranges ex/stock.

    In line with our policy of instrument solutions, Fluidic can assemble gauges into enclosures or onto stainless steel panels, custom made to your requirements. (See ‘Solutions’ section of our website).

  • PRESSURE SWITCHES

     

    PRESSURE (& DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE) SWITCHES

    As agents for Dwyer Instruments, Fluidic have access to a wide range of pressure switches.  Low cost options such as the 1900 series and ADPS offer low differential switching ideally suited to filter monitoring and LEV control in safe area application.  Under hazardous areas, we can offer the 1950G and 1823 range of EExd approved pressure switches.

    In addition, we offer a number of instruments from Pyropress.  Main markets are of high demand construction, such as offshore oil and gas.  The Titan range offers stainless steel construction as standard with optional EExd and EExia ATEX approvals.

  • PRESSURE TRANSMITTERS

    PRESSURE (& DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE) TRANSMITTERS

    Through Micatrone, we offer the MF-PD and MF-PFA differential pressure transmitters.  These units come with user selectable 0-10v or 4-20mA output signals, local display and diaphragm technology for high accuracy at low ranges.  In addition, the MF-PFA offers 2 relay outputs, local alarm state (audible and visual) indication and square-root extraction function for flow measurement when used with Micatrones range of self averaging flow sensors.  The MF-PFA has become the ‘nuclear standard’ across the UK nuclear industry and has been assessed through the ‘Emphasis’ Assessment program.

    Through other principals, such as Dwyer and Vega, we offer a range of higher range (and ATEX qualified) pressure and differential pressure transmitters, including absolute pressure and vacuum ranges.

  • DIGITAL PRESSURE GAUGES

    DIGITAL PRESSURE GAUGES

    The DPG family of Digital Pressure Gauges from our principal Dwyer is the most common digital ‘indication-only’ pressure instrument we offer.  Model ranges comes as standard from full vacuum (ie 0-30”Hg) upto a maximum of +5000psig with a typical uncertainty (accuracy) of ±0.5% fs.

    From the same DPG family, we can also offer high accuracy Digital Calibration Gauges (DCG) and robust ‘rubber boot’ and turret style cases where required.

     

  • BAROMETRIC PRESSURE

    BAROMETRIC PRESSURE

    Fluidic are UK agents for Vaisala, who specialise in meteorological instrumentation including barometric pressure.  The base range, the PTB110 series, has high accuracy and is fitted with the established BAROCAP® sensor for high stability and low power consumption (<4mA).

    Higher end units, such as Vaisala’s PTB330 series, offer up to 3 inbuilt barometric pressures for improved accuracy and double redundancy pressure measurements in critical applications.

    LIQUID FILLED MANOMETERS

    Through Dwyer, Fluidic are able to offer liquid filled manometers for low differential pressure measurement.  The Mark II Moulded Plastic Manometers come with incline ranges and also combination ranges for improved resolution at critical measurement points.  We also offer U-tube manometers and all associated accessories such as soft tubing, wall brackets and replacement gauge fluid.

     

  • RADAR LEVEL MEASUREMENT

    RADAR & GUIDED MICROWAVE LEVEL TRANSMITTERS

    Radar technology is a non-contact level measurement suitable for a number of, typically considered difficult-to-measure, processes. At Fluidic, we offer the VEGAPULS range of radar level transmitters for liquid level and bulk solid measurements.  Included in the range are products to measure water, sewage, aggressive media, foaming applications, agitated media and typical bulk storage grain and powders.

    Instruments can be supplied for safe area or ATEX environments and SIL2 safety integrity level is standard across many ranges.

    We also offer a ‘Guided Microwave’ range (VEGAFLEX), which is ideal for media with low dielectric values, multiple layer level measurements or with uneven surfaces in bulk solid measurements.

  • ULTRASONIC LEVEL MEASUREMENT

    ULTRASONIC LEVEL TRANSMITTERS

    Ultrasonic is a low cost, non-contact technology for measuring level in a multitude of liquid and bulk solid applications.  As the signal is bounced off the surface of the measurement media, no consideration to dielectric value is required; however the technology is not suitable for foaming or applications where a false echo may be likely (see radar in these conditions).

    At Fluidic we offer the VEGASON range of instruments, which can be supplied for safe area or ATEX environments and SIL2 safety integrity level is standard across many ranges.

  • CAPACATIVE LEVEL MEASUREMENT

    CAPACATIVE LEVEL TRANSMITTERS AND SWITCHES

    The established VEGACAL and VEGACAP capacitive measuring principle utilises ‘no-moving-parts’ measurement principal.  Sensor and vessel form the two electrodes of a capacitor and the technology requires no dead-zone.  Instruments are available for liquids (including corrosive and adhesive medias) and bulk solids (particularly popular in the aggregates industry).

  • VIBRATING LEVEL SWITCHES

    VIBRATING FORK & VIBRATING ROD LEVEL SWITCHES

    The popular VEGASWING and VEGAVIB are vibrating level switches, suitable for low and high level switching on liquid and bulk solid level switching applications.  These level switches will operate in any mounting operation, and, with SIL2 certification and fail safe operation options, are well suited to processes where switching is critical.  In addition pressure, temperature, foam, viscosity and bubbles do not influence the switching accuracy.

  • CONDUCTIVE LEVEL SWITCHES

    CONDUCTIVE LEVEL SWITCHES

    A simple, low cost technology, the VEGAKON (and EL range) conductive level switches allow level switching in conductive liquids with no moving parts.  Multiple switch points can be included in one instrument via several probes and options are available for insulated or conductive bodied tanks.

    We also offer VEGATOR signal conditioning units for common applications such as pump run-dry or over-run protection.

  • HYDROSTATIC MEASUREMENT

    HYDROSTATIC LEVEL MEASUREMENT

    The VEGABAR and VEGAWELL Hydrostatic level transmitters utilise a high accuracy pressure sensors for liquid ‘working head’ level measurement.  Instruments may be selected for bottom mount, or with a suspended sensor for top mount level measurement.

    An option for front-flush, abrasion resistant CERTEC® with double seal system offers high reliability and operational safety in aggressive applications.

  • PORTABLE TEST GAUGES

    PORTABLE (TEST) MANOMETERS

    Through Dwyer and Kimo Instruments, Fluidic are well positioned to offer high accuracy portable test manometers.  Basic units start with differential pressure only measurement with ranges as low as 0...250Pa, and we can supply calibration certificates with most options.

    Dwyer offer a range of very high accuracy, calibration test manometers and multi-cal benchtop calibrators.  Accuracies on these units are typically ±0.05% and come with inbuilt datalogging facility.

    Kimo also offer the AMI 300, multi-function meters which offer a range of pressure, airflow and temperature measurements as well as Bluetooth technology sensors, rugged transport case and calibration certificates as standard.

  • VARIABLE AREA FLOW METERS

    VARIABLE AREA FLOW METERS

    Simple, low cost technology for local indication of flowrate, Fluidic supply an assortment of variable area flowmeters calibrated for many liquids and gasses.  The low cost ‘Visi-Float’ and ‘Rate-Master’ flowmeters we offer through our principal, Dwyer, come with an array of options including integral regulating valves, pointer flags, back or end process connections and alarm switch points.  We also offer higher specification process designs with inbuilt transmitter outputs.

  • PITOT TUBES & ORIFICE PLATES

    SELF-AVERAGING PITOT TUBES & ORIFICE PLATES

    With options in stainless steel and aluminium, Fluidic offer Micatrone’s range of self-averaging pitot tube flow sensors.  When used in conjunction with Micatrone’s MF-PFA pressure/flow transmitter these units offer 2 alarm points, local display and analogue output.

    Fluidic commonly offer this product in a stainless steel panel mount arrangement hard-piped through a 5 valve instrument maintenance manifold.   With the MF-PFA having been assessed through nuclear ‘EMPHASIS’ program, this setup, originally approved in Sellafield, has become industry standard for the UK nuclear authority.

    Through our principal Dwyer, we also offer low cost ranges of pitot tubes (including self averaging pitot tubes) and orifice plates for general HVAC extract and ventilation monitoring.

  • THERMAL FLOW SENSORS

    THERMAL (HOT-WIRE) FLOW SENSORS

    Ideally suited to low air velocities, thermal flow sensors (commonly referred to as ‘hot-wire’ flow sensors) have no moving parts and work on a temperature differential velocity for high accuracy air velocity and air flow measurements.  Through our principal, Schmidt, Fluidic offer a patented dumbbell design which is ideally suited to dusty applications and an optional Teflon coating for many acidic applications.

    Though our principal Kurz, Fluidic offer a range of heavy duty thermal flow sensors of 316L SS sensor construction with up to 1” DIA sensor support, IP66 dual chamber cast terminal enclosures and ATEX approvals in EExd and EExia construction. 

    The 454FTB insertion and 504FTB inline flow sensors have also been approved through the nuclear Emphasis program, and as such have become industry standard for the UK nuclear authority.

  • HONEYWELL VERSAFLOW RANGE

    HONEYWELL VERSAFLOW TRANSMITTERS

    Fluidic are UK agents for the instrumentation range from Honeywell Field Solutions.  This industrial range of flowmeters are able to measure all manner of demanding gas and liquid flow applications, with outputs for the parameters of mass flow, density, volume, temperature, mass or volume concentration, and solids content.  The range of units include the following technologies:

    - Honeywell VersaFlow Coriolis 1000 Mass Flow Sensor
    - Honeywell VersaFlow Mag 4000 Magnetic Flow (Magflow) Sensor
    - Honeywell VersaFlow Sonic 1000 Clamp on Ultrasonic Flowmeter
    - Honeywell VersaFlow Vortex 100 Sensor (with inbuilt pressure and temperature compensation)

    These units are robust, high specification, high accuracy design with a multitude of customisable options, which are best discussed with our trained engineers at either office location.

  • VANE FLOW SWITCHES

    VANE FLOW SWITCHES

    Through Dwyer instruments, Fluidic offer vane operated flow switches with optional ATEX approval.  The V4 and V6 range of switch units both offer EExd approved terminal housings with options for all stainless steel wetted parts.  Lower cost options, such as the FS-2, are also available with field trimmable vanes to adjust setpoint.

  • SIGHT FLOW INDICATORS

    SIGHT FLOW INDICATORS

    For simple, flow / no-flow indication, Fluidic offer Dwyer’s ‘SFI’ range of Sight Flow Indicators.  Instruments are manufactured of quality materials and safety tested to assure long, dependable service at economical prices.  Options are available with single or double viewing windows, rotating propellar design, ‘flapper’ design or without any moving parts as sight-glass only design. All types feature a removable window for easy service and replacement of wearing parts.

  • RH & T TRANSMITTERS

    RELATIVE HUMIDITY & TEMPERATURE TRANSMITTERS

    As agents for Vaisala, Fluidic offer a wide variety of relative humidity and temperature transmitters.  For general facilities condition monitoring, aimed primarily at the building automation market, we offer the HMW80 series with 2 years warranty and no annual calibration requirements. Duct mount options are also available via the HMD42 and HMD53 series with IP65 cast aluminium enclosure.

    The HMT120 / HMT130 series is a cleanroom focused design which includes optional digital display, 4-20mA or 0-10V output signals, remote or wall mount (fixed) probe and a dust and cleaning agent resistant finish with discrete rear cable entry points.

    For process control, the high spec HMT330 series offers high pressure, high temperature and high humidity (heated probe) options.  Options include ‘additional variables’ (such as calculated dewpoint, mixing ratio, wet and dry bulb temperature outputs) along with relay outputs and digital RS232/RS485 signal outputs.

    The HMT360 series echo’s the HMT330 specifications with EExia ATEX approval (and international equivalents).

  • DEWPOINT TRANSMITTERS

    DEWPOINT TRANSMITTERS

    With multiple ranges and specifications available, Fluidic offer the wide range of dedicated dewpoint transmitters from Vaisala.

    The wall mount DMW19 is a low cost transmitter ideally suited to HVAC building automation markets for general facility monitoring down to a dewpoint (Td) of –20°C.

    A number of process specific transmitters are also available for process control down to –80°C, which includes the DMT132 series for refrigerant driers, the DPT146 with additional pressure output for compressed air system monitoring and the DMT245 and DMT346 series with heat sink for high operating temperatures.

  • MOISTURE IN OIL

    MOISTURE IN OIL INSTRUMENTS

    Moisture (water) deteriorates the performance of oil, whether used as a lubricant, coolant, or insulator.  High moisture content increases the risk of corrosion, overheating and general machine malfunction.

    Through Vaisala, Fluidic offer the MMT330 range of moisture-in-oil transmitters with local display and a range of probes and probe fitting options.  Outputs are available as 0…1aw or in ppm measurement.

    The MMT162 is a compact method of measuring moisture in oil, and the portable MM70 unit is also available for spot-checking measurements.

  • VAISALA PORTABLES

    PORTABLE RH&T, DEWPOINT & CO2 METERS

    For general, low cost relative humidity and temperature spot-checking, Fluidic offer Vaisala’s HM34 unit which comes with carry case and calibration certification as standard.

    The MI70 series of portable instruments is Vaisala’s top end unit covering a multitude of measurement parameters.  The HM70 is name given to the indicator when purchased with Relative Humidty and Temperature probe, DM70 for Dewpoint measurement and GM70 for Carbon Dioxide spot checking.  All probes are interchangeable with any indicator, and 2 probes can be connected simultaneously with datalogging and on board graphing function.  Again calibration certification is included as standard with options for Windows software for graph checking and a hard-shell carry case.

  • METEROLOGICAL RH&T

    METEOROLOGICAL RH&T TRANSMITTERS

    Through Vaisala, Fluidic offer the HMP155 humidity and temperature probe which is aimed at the meteorological market.  This probe comes with an optional heated probe for operation in low temperature conditions to –80°C and IP66 weather proof housing.  This probe is ideally suited for use in our range of radiation shields to protect from inaccurate measurement brought on by direct UV radiation precipitation.

    In addition, through Vaisala, Fluidic offer multi-purpose ‘R&D’ units such as the WXT520 and PTU300 series, both of which provide RS232 and RS485 digital signal outputs. The PTU300 allows measurement of relative humidity, temperature and barometric pressure.  The WXT520 measures relative humidity, temperature, barometric pressure, precipitation, wind speed and wind direction.

  • CALIBRATION INSTRUMENTS

    CALIBRATION INSTRUMENTS

    Fluidic offer full calibration service through Vaisala’s EN17025 approved calibration facility on all Vaisala product lines.  We also offer in-house low differential pressure checks of Magnehelic pressure gauges and similar instruments.

    In addition, we are able to supply Vaisala’s HMK15 humidity calibrator with up to 3 individual calibration chambers and a selection of humidity salts for calibrated generation of humidities up to 97% RH.

    We also offer a multitude of high accuracy portable test instruments for pressure, humidity and carbon dioxide spot-checking and associated calibration pumps for pressure generation.

  • CO2 PROCESS MONITORING

    CARBON DIOXIDE PROCESS MONITORING

    As agents for Vaisala, Fluidic are pleased to offer the GMT220 range of carbon dioxide (CO2) transmitters.  Fitted with the highly stable CARBOCAP sensor these instruments come with optional display, analogue output and 2 relay switch points.  The probe is fully interchangeable with other GMT220 and portable GM70 units allowing spares holding during calibration downtimes etc.

    For harsh environments the GMP343 unit provides wide operating temperature and humidity ranges along with compensation options for temperature, pressure, humidity and oxygen all in a compact design.

    For higher volume OEM type applications, the GMM220 is a stripped down version of the GMT220 series transmitters without relay outputs nor enclosure housing, however Fluidic can provide custom housed options for this product as part our of policy of ‘Instrument Solutions’.

  • CO2 HVAC CONTROL

    CARBON DIOXIDE HVAC CONTROL

    Through our principal Vaisala, Fluidic offer the low cost GMW115, wall mount carbon dioxide (CO2) transmitter.  The modular design (inline with the HMW80 RH&T unit), keeps manufacturing cost to a minimum and, with the inclusion of the established and highly stable CARBOCAP sensor makes this unit ideally suited to the building automation and general facilities monitoring HVAC market.

    The GMW116 instrument echo’s the design of the GMW115, but also includes temperature output.

  • RTDs & THERMOCOUPLES

    RTDs & THERMOCOUPLES

    As distributors for H&B Sensors, Fluidic offer a variety of temperature instrumentation such as RTD (including PT100s) and thermocouple temperature sensors.  Typically with IP66 terminal enclosures, we offer a variety of materials and process connections with accompanying 316ss thermowells as required.

    ATEX solutions are available with EExia and EExd designs, although many standard products are commonly used under simple apparatus status.

  • BI-METAL THERMOMETERS

    BI-METAL THERMOMETERS

    As distributors for Stewart Buchanan Gauges, Fluidic offer a range of thermometers and thermowells to suit most applications.  We offer capillary thermometers and also any-angle thermometers for mounting in difficult-to-view locations, along with a range of dial sizes, process connections and swivel adapters.  Calibration or test certificates can be provided as required.

  • INFRARED THERMOMETERS

    INFRARED THERMOMETERS

    Through our principal, Dwyer Instruments, Fluidic are able to offer a variety of infrared temperature indicators (IR thermometers) for spot-checking of difficult to reach locations.  The basic model, the IR2, is ideally suited for monitoring surface temperatures of air ducts, boilers, engines or light fixtures.  Besides reading the process temperature, the back lit display also reads the maximum temperature seen.

    Higher spec options, such as the IR3 and IR4 are available along with the food specific FST-300 which also incorporates an immersion probe and quick HACCP zone display for visual indication when products are within a safe storage temperature range for both hot and cold food products.

  • PAPERLESS RECORDERS

    As agents for Honeywell Process Solutions, Fluidic have access to their high performance range of ‘X series’ paperless recorders.  Recorders allow multiple channel inputs for thermocouple, RTD, pulse, mA, mV/volt and ohms recording with sample rates as quick as 10 recordings per second.  Significant on-board memory is allocated with every model allowing literally hundreds of thousands of readings, however each model also has a front access USB point for ease of transfer to a windows PC, where results can be graphed and tabled using the supplied TrendViewer software or imported into programs such as Microsoft Excel.

    Each model comes with a touch screen interface for ease of user manipulation, however security passwords may be added (with a CFR21 part 11 compliant option available) to provide footprint traceability.

    Each recorder can be supplied for standard 240v UK mains supply or 24V, with an optional 24v output (200mA) to power partnering instruments.  In addition ‘soft-alarms’ and on-board relays allow local and remote indication that critical set points have been achieved.

  • SQUIRREL DATA LOGGERS

    SQUIRREL DATA LOGGERS

    Fluidic are able to supply the popular Squirrel range of wired dataloggers from Eltek.  The modular design of this series allows a cost effective approach to the selection of a fully customised unit in terms of number of channels (up to a maximum of 48) and input type (including volt/mA, thermocouple and RTD inputs).

    Units are robust and designed for portability.  Power consumption is of a minimum and powered by a standard 9V battery, although UK power supply option is available at request.

    Loggers are generally supplied with Eltek’s Darca software for Windows for simple downloading and graphing etc of acquired data.

  • PORTABLE DATA LOGGERS

    PORTABLE DATA LOGGERS

    Through our principal Kimo, Fluidic are able to provide the low cost range of ‘KISTOCK’ portable dataloggers.  With a maximum of 4 channels, units can be purchased with inbuilt sensors or mA/Volt input options for use with most transmitters.

    KSTOCK loggers are available with display and housing options - upto IP65 for external use.  Every logger comes, as standard, with an inbuilt magnet for ease of mounting, or for secure fitting a simple key and bracket system is available.

  • RADIO TELEMETERY

    RADIO TELEMETERY

    Fluidic are agents for Hanwell.  Through this partnership, we have access to their established range of radio telemetry systems.  With the main ‘CR2’ received station, upto 256 channels around the site may be fed back to one central control room where data can be downloaded to a local PC for history graphing etc.  Fluidic’s experience in this field also allows us to offer a site survey system to aid with transmitter locations and system suitability (see ‘solutions’ section of the website for more details).

    In addition, GSM systems are available for wide range, even international, distribution and collection of data.

  • CONTROLLERS

    CONTROLLERS

    As agents for Honeywell Process solutions, Fluidic provide the Honeywell Universal Digital Controller (UDC) range.  This versatile instrument controller accepts multiple thermocouple, RTD, mA or voltage inputs and is available in a variety of common ‘DIN’ panel mounting sizes, with IP65 protection.  Options also include multiple relay outputs, PC configuration and Ethernet and Modbus communication.

  • MULTIPURPOSE R&D WEATHER

    MULTIPURPOSE RESEARCH WEATHER INSTRUMENTS

    For general R&D research projects, Fluidic offer Vaisala’s WXT520 6-in-1 weather transmitter.  The WXT520 includes measurement of the following parameters, with sensors suitably housed in the inbuilt radiation shield:

    - Wind Speed & Direction
    - Liquid precipitation, ie current rainfall, duration and intensity
    - Barometric Pressure
    - Air temperature
    - Relative Humidity

    Commonly supplied for use with our range of Squirrel dataloggers (see our ‘loggers and controllers’ section), the WXT520 is popular with University and Research Facilities for applications such as building conservation, climate change and marine research.

    Fluidic offer a range of radiation shields for all our weather measurement probes to protect from false readings and sensor saturation caused by direct sunlight radiation and direct rainfall precipitation.

  • WINDSPEED AND DIRECTION

    WINDSPEED AND DIRECTION

    As agents for Vaisala, Fluidic are able to supply heated wind speed anemometers (WAA252) and heated wind direction wind vanes (WAV252) suitable for operation down to -55°C.  In addition, we offer Measnet calibration of the WAA252 anemometer via third party Measnet partner assessment.

    The WMT700 series is an ultrasonic windspeed and direction combination unit with no moving parts.  2 levels of heating option are available to reduce heater power consumption where demand is warmer than the minimum –55°C operating temperature.
